DealBound Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
OpaCore Studios ("we," "us," or "our") operates DealBound ("the App"), a customer relationship management application designed for real estate professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use DealBound.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Password (securely hashed; we never store or access your plaintext password)
2.2 User-Provided Business Data
The App allows you to manage your real estate business. Data you enter may include:
- Client names, contact information, and notes
- Deal and transaction details
- Task lists, schedules, and reminders
- Property showing information
- Business goals and plans
- Follow-up records and activity history
- Market data and listing descriptions
- Property photos uploaded from your camera or photo library
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
- Device type and operating system version
- Push notification tokens (for task reminders)
- App usage data for performance and reliability monitoring
2.4 Local Device Storage
Certain non-sensitive preferences, such as greeting display settings, are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account
- Store and sync your business data across your sessions
- Power AI-assisted features, including message generation, deal summaries, listing descriptions, and task checklists
- Send push notifications for task reminders and scheduled follow-ups
- Process in-app subscription purchases
- Improve the App, diagnose technical issues, and analyze usage patterns
- Respond to your support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
4. AI-Powered Features
DealBound includes AI-powered features that use the OpenAI API to generate content such as client messages, deal summaries, listing descriptions, and checklists. When you use these features, relevant contextual data (such as client names, deal details, or property information) is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing.
These requests are made using our own API key; you are never required to provide an OpenAI account or key. Data sent to OpenAI is used solely for generating the requested content and is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy. We do not use your data to train AI models.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
5.1 Supabase
We use Supabase for user authentication (email/password) and cloud database storage (PostgreSQL). All of your account and business data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase's privacy practices are described in their Privacy Policy.
5.2 OpenAI
As described in Section 4, we use the OpenAI API to power AI-assisted content generation features. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
5.3 Apple (App Store and In-App Purchases)
DealBound is distributed through the Apple App Store and offers in-app subscription purchases (monthly and annual Pro plans). Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: With the third-party services described above, solely to operate the App's features.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of OpaCore Studios, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your data would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
7. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it, including:
- Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS
- Secure password hashing (passwords are never stored in plaintext)
- Row-level security policies on our database to ensure users can only access their own data
- Regular review of our security practices
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements).
Locally stored preferences are removed when you uninstall the App from your device.
9. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the App by navigating to Settings and selecting the account deletion option. Upon deletion, all of your personal data and business records stored on our servers will be permanently removed within 30 days. Active subscriptions should be cancelled through your Apple ID subscription settings before deleting your account.
10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Request portability of your data
10.2 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
10.3 European Economic Area / UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing your data include your consent, the performance of our contract with you (providing the App), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service. You may withdraw consent at any time and exercise any of the rights listed above by contacting us.
11. Children's Privacy
DealBound is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
